Mental Health Care Plans
Our GPs are experienced in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and other mental health concerns, for adolescents and adults.
To get a mental health care plan, your GP will ask you a series of questions to assess your mental health and work with you to set a plan. A mental health care plan will provide Medicare rebates for appointments with a psychologist. If you don’t have a psychologist, your GP can provide a referral to a recommended psychologist. The Banyans Medical Centre and Specialist Clinics have access to some of Australia’s leading mental health care practitioners. Your GP can provide you with further information to ensure you receive the support you need.
Please advise reception that you would like to be assessed for a mental health care plan at time of booking. This will ensure there is adequate time in your appointment to assess and put together your plan.
