STD and STI Checks
Our GPs offer STD and STI checks, testing and treatment. During an appointment, your doctor will conduct a physical examination, provide a referral for a blood test, and ask you to provide a urine sample.
Results are usually available one to two days after your appointment, and our staff will follow up with you to advise of your results and any additional appointments necessary.
Cervical Screening Test
A Cervical Screening Test is a procedure to check for
cervical cancer. The test detects the presence of human papillomavirus (HPV) so that it can be monitored or investigated further if needed. Having regular screening tests decreases the risk of cervical cancer.
Women can access a vaccine that protects against themost common cause of cervical cancers, HPV. However, vaccines do not protect against all HPV types that cause
cervical cancers, therefore all vaccinated women need regular Cervical Screening Tests.
