A prostate check (also known as a prostate exam) can help diagnose prostate cancer through early detection. A prostate exam seeks to identify the presence of a prostate-specific antigen (PSA) through a blood test in combination with a physical exam. Men aged 50 and over are advised to undertake a prostate check every one to two years.

Our GPs offer STD and STI checks, testing and treatment. During an appointment, your doctor will conduct a physical examination, provide a referral for a blood test, and ask you to provide a urine sample. Results are usually available one to two days after your appointment, and our staff will follow up with you to advise of your results and any additional appointments necessary.
