The Banyans has both Psychologists and GP’s experienced in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive compulsive disorder, bpd and other mental health concerns, we are well equipped to assist you with your needs
Our GPs are experienced in the treatment of anxiety, depression, grief, obsessive compulsive disorder, bipolar disorder and other mental health concerns. We can provide mental health care for adolescents and adults.
To get a mental health care plan, your GP will ask you a series of questions to assess your mental health and work with you to set a plan. A mental health care plan will provide Medicare rebates for appointments with a psychologist. If you don’t have a psychologist, your GP will provide a referral to a local psychologist they recommend.
When booking an appointment to be assessed for a mental health care plan, please advise so in your booking. This will ensure there is adequate time to assess and put the plan together with your GP.
